Development of Release Scenarios for Canadian Coatings Industry |

Crechem developed various release scenarios for the Canadian
coatings industry in support of Environment Canada's New Substances Program.
The study presented a comprehensive review of release scenarios developed
in the U.S. and the European Union. The scenarios developed for the Canadian
industry were laid out in accordance with the framework established by the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency and the European Commission, and populated with
site-specific data gathered from Canadian facilities. These scenarios provided
both methods and data necessary to evaluate chemical releases
from coatings formulation and application operations.
